Nero is a flexible, reliable, and easy-to-use application designed to write both data and CD audio to CD-R and CD-RW discs. It supports ISO 9660 images as well as ISO mode 1 and XA mode 2, and allows for on-the-fly disc recording in addition to overburning (if supported by hardware). It also supports multisession and mixed-mode recording, HFS, ISO/HFS hybrid, UDF, PSX, OFAS (optimal file access speed), track-at-once (TAO) and disc-at-once (DAO) writing, digital audio extraction, and more. In addition, Nero can dynamically disable automatic-insert notification, offers support for multiple languages, and works with all major models of CD-R and CD-RW drives. This also contains a standalone Cover Editor for designing and printing CD covers.

What's interesting is this STILL cannot be downloaded from the Nero website ... it can't be purchased yet either. Currently they say 11/2 on the site, but this date has already been pushed back twice.

Yeah, I figured that might be the case around here, too, but I also figured that the boxed edition is already out of date compared to the version they will (eventually) release online ... and I'm in no big rush.

Plus there's upgrade pricing direct from their website as opposed with having to (I assume this is possible w/ the boxed edition) mail in a rebate form for an upgrade price, etc. etc. And let's not forget sales tax.

Yeah, it'll be a trial. Not sure, but it can probably be turned into a licensed copy w/ a serial number you buy from Ahead ... which of course they're not selling yet.

I don't used Nero I used burn and go program works awesome

Hehe at 9 d*wn site they have nero out as final even download links for which I kind find it starnge.

OK, so now the website says "It's here."

The Much-Anticipated Nero 7 Ultra Edition is Here!

But if you click the Upgrade button, and enter your Nero 6 key, it tells you to register so they can tell you when the the upgrade is available.

And if you try the Buy button instead it says "Buy 6 and get 7 for free".

Sigh. Things like this are what drive people to BitTorrent (but I'm patient).

Junk could also be the discs you're using despite how good you think they are, or the drive your using, or both. Hell it could be the fact your burning at Mach-3 or some unGodly high rate which 'junk' is to be expected

The program only does what you tell it to do. I've found DVDDecryptor's burning engine to be better but only in rare cases so better software exists, but it really depends on the hardware/media/settings you're using.

Well, I've never had an issue w/ a version of Nero ... at least YET. I used to use Easy CD Creator back in the day and always had problems.

i have tried quite a few in the past.......im yet to find anything that improves over nero....just upgraded to n7 yesterday,works well but do think some of the news features is not needed.....

Way cheaper than the upgrade price to.....

Thx, calidan, managed to buy using that link. Did you ever find where they're hiding their "language packs" = help files? Can't find a place to d/l the v7 files ... I never figured out why they just don't put them in with the installer.

Just upgraded to this version, wish I hadn't. This is so bloaty and filled with crap I don't need. It works just as good as nero 6, so its not a bad program per say, I just dont see any usefull improvement over version 6.
