Starcraft Ghost for Gamecube Cancelled

There have been rumors floating around the this effect, but a moderator at the Battlenet forums confirms it: Starcraft Ghost for GameCube is cancelled.

Unfortunately the GameCube version of the game was decided to be dropped. In order to provide the game envisioned by the console team a set and readily available online solution was needed. Unfortunately the GameCube has no online service and since so much work is going in to the online portion, it would be additional work to release only part of the intended game. Nintendo systems certainly aren't something that we are against supporting. Blizzard in its entirety is based upon earlier games for Nintendo systems. The GameCube and Revolution will still be cosidered for future products, unfortunately Ghost will only be made available on the Xbox and PS2 at this time.

Oh, well.

HOW LAME

thats pathetic and sad.... man gamecube has so much potential and just cuz it doesnt have online good products dont end up being created for the GC ;-(

Hmm, starcraft ghost is going to be crap. Its obvious they have no idea what they wanted for the game.

Online support is still only widely avalable for PC only. It is the only platform to play games on where almost everyone is connected. Yet they dropped it years ago. Go committee. Way to create that video game abortion of a spinoff.
