Samsung introduces 2MB smart card IC

Samsung Electronics announced the introduction of its 2MB flash memory-embedded smart card IC (S3FJ91L). This new 2MB smart card IC provides higher memory density for SMS, telephone directory, games and Internet services as well as its typical subscriber identification function for 3G handsets, according to the company.

Equipped with an ARM-based 32bit SC200 Secure Core, the new smart card IC is able to fortify anti-hacking technology and significantly reduces the risk of personal information leakage, Samsung stated.
