Eclipse Solar Gear starts selling solar camera bags and tackle boxes

Eclipse Solar Gear has introduced a new line of solar-powered tackle boxes and camera/video bags that can trickle your electronics. The built-in solar panels provide 1.5 watts of power in full sunlight and a 12V automobile adapter is included. The bags should be available next month and the company's website is accepting pre-orders.

At 1.5 watts it will take several hours to fully charge most devices. In addition, the user needs to find an obstructed view of the sky. This is not that much a problem for fishermen because they usually sit either on the water or near the water for many hours.

The solar powered bags will need an adapter to connect to most electronics and the Eclipse Solar Gear sells adapters for the iPod, Sony PSP and battery chargers. The Solar Camera/Video bag will sell for $40, while the Tackle Box will sell for $146.
