iQSun Line Of 3D Laser Scanners

iQvolution, AG the premier 3D Laser Scanning Company in Germany has established a wholly owned subsidiary in the United States, iQvolution, Inc. Located in Richboro, Pennsylvania, the newly formed corporation will begin marketing of the company's iQSun line of 3D laser scanners, software and services both in the United Sates and Canada. "I am truly excited about the opportunity to head up US operations for what I feel is with one of the premier companies in the industry with one of the fastest growing leading edge technologies in the marketplace today." says Thomas Satterley, Vice President North American Operations for the newly formed corporation.

Dr. Bernd Becker, CEO of iQvolution AG comments: " We are confident, that our North American Operations, lead by Tom Satterley, will help us to quickly disseminate our world leading "Real Virtuality Technology". The benefits of this most efficient 3D-Capture are in industrial cases proven to be 2% - 4% of the relevant investments, while the cost of it is factors lower. This excellent benefit/cost ratio made us quickly the market leader in European automotive industry. We have already started several projects in North America and feel the same impetus for our solution in the US."

Using the latest continuous wave laser technology and scanning over effectively 240,000 3D measurements per second with an accuracy of less than 2mm of error at a 10 meter range, the iQSun 3D Laser Scanner is arguably one of the fastest scanners in the world today and the only scanner of its kind with a surrounding field of view of 360 degrees horizontal and 320 degrees vertical as well as a multitude of practical features, like embedded PC with standalone scanning operation, small weight and size, Ethernet connection to any other Laptop, PDA or other computer, battery driven etc. All those attributes make the system very efficient in scanning projects. iQvolution will be focused on marketing the iQSun 3D laser scanner to the automotive, oil & gas, chemical and heavy industry sectors for both interior and exterior applications that can be read by MicroStation, AutoCAD and other formats.

3D Laser Scanning
3D Laser Scanning is a rapidly growing technology. Currently 3D As-Built Analysis of factories is still performed with simple tools such as measuring tape, single point laser-distance meters, or time consuming total station measurements. For the first time in history, the new 3D-Lasertechnology allows the highly efficient and accurate capture of 3D-Photos and the transformation of geometry to a digital 3D representation in a computer. Applications such as: Asset Management, Constructability Review, Construction Sequencing, Construction Verification, and Equipment Validation are just a few of the many areas 3D Laser Scanning is being used today.
