Panasonic Demos 103-Inch 1080p Plasma
Size does matter -- at least according to Panasonic. The electronics maker on Wednesday evening demonstrated the world's largest HDTV plasma display, which measures 103 inches and boasts a resolution of 1080p. Panasonic said it overcame technical hurdles by developing a new method for dividing each gas cell in the display, and utilized the same high-speed pixel engine included in the company's 65-inch plasma TV. Potential pricing or release date of such a display were not announced, but Panasonic is showcasing the 103-inch behemoth at CES.
