Crossfire gets into notebooks

"A very famous notebook Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) Clevo works on Crossfire system for notebooks. The same company is making SLI MXM based system. Most of you know Clevo as a manufacturer of most Alienware, Voodoo PC and similar super high end notebooks. So the company has been working on putting two ATI cards together for more than a few months now.

We still don't know when anyone plans to release SLI or Crossfire based notebooks but the date is approaching. We don't think we will see them before CeBIT but you just never know.

Cleve as a notebook manufacturer has one hard task to conquer. It has to deal with the heat dissipation of two graphic modules. That’s not easy to take care as we still remember one of its notebooks packed in Alienware designs and how much heat the graphics dissipated. But it gives you hell of a lot of performance."
