Infineon remains in the red

Infineon, the world's fourth largest DRAM and sixth largest NAND Flash maker, continues to post significant financial losses. For the first quarter of its fiscal 2006 year, the company announced sales of $2.02 billion and a loss of 222 million. The company claims that the results of its two logic business groups - automotive/industrial/multimarket and communication - were "ahead of internal as well as average analyst expectations."
