Prey Hands-on @ IGN

Describing some of what was shown at a recent Prey event in San Francisco takes some doing. What the team at Human Head has done with the normal FPS premise is pretty wacky. In some cases, they've literally turned the whole deal on its head. Creative use of gravity, puzzles, and premise bring a promise of good things. Well... good things for those that play anyway and bad things for the characters swallowed up by the gigantic moon sized biological space craft hovering over Earth.

The premise behind Prey is simple. A gigantic ship/being, called the Sphere, parked over our planet and started gobbling people up from all over the place. Frighteningly, nobody knows that's what is happening because the giant liveship also happens to be invisible to scans. There's no running. There's no hiding. There's no point in locking doors. This titanic anal probe will just rip the roof off of a house to have its fun.
