Vantec's external HDD enclosure can be said to be a class of its own. With its bold colours and reflective finish, it looks elegant and performs well. NST-360SU-BK is the next generation HDD enclosure from Vantec. It comes with 2 ports, a USB and a eSATA (external Serial ATA).

As all of us know, USB gives you a maximum of 480MBps of transfer rate. Although it is fast, it is still not as fast as having a direct connection to a HDD which runs up to 3Gbps. With the eSATA port connected to mainboards with SATA II connections, it can attain a speed up to 3Gbps just like what it does within your PC Case. The support of both eSATA and USB allows you to transfer large files and be able to move the HDD to MAC for example and use it to transfer data.
