How much better are you thinking the thing is going to get? All they can do is update drivers...and Matrox isn't like ATi with their drivers. This card was simply way over hyped, and unless you're planning on getting it soley for the purpose of the triple display gaming, it's not even worth the 400 bucks it costs. The SiS Xabre 400 card, which is a low budget card gives the same or better performance.

What else could happen - well, revisions to clock speed, core speed, mem speed would all bring improvements. Whether the card would be marketed the same, or as -II, or a (like the G400), as a "new" model is debateable. I still want one, purely because Matrox has the best image quality I have ever seen. And Triple Head is of interest!
