Maybe you can trade it for a non working voodoo 1 What a pity you could have sold it for hundreds, it's a freaking rare card too bad you ruined it.

Hundreds eh? You're kidding right? I got a Voodoo 5 5500 AGP with it's install disk and manual collecting dust in the basement.

No one cares about the old first rev v5 5500s, they are ultra common. People want the rarer revisons like 1.18-1.11.

craig you are talking about the BIOS revisions which can be flashed on any 5500. There were no later hardware revisions that would make a certain 5500 rarer than another, 3dfx wasn't around long enough to make changes. If you had an engineering sample with DVI and tv-out though, that would be valuable. Actually no it wouldn't, the Mac version of the 5500 had DVI and can be flashed with a PC BIOS.

Really? Wow, I was really misinformed. I was under the impression they had hardware changes.

Mine is still running in my Compaq Computer

I still have the retail box with all the paperwork for my Voodoo5 5500 agp and I also have a S3/Virge Voodoo3 1000 agp which was made for my compaq 5852 which also still works. I would like to know if anyone else has heard of a Voodoo3 1000.

later

pete

I got a 5500 1.11. But really. I gave it away. I was saving it for a legacy rig... but meh. I now I wont like my older games as I might remember them. The thing was a overclocking screamer. I liked my geforce2 better. Well, kinda, it was a sort of love/hate relationship.
