Hello DH!!!! i was wondering if anyone knows the differents from xfx black edtion and there xxx edtion? i know both editions are over clocked... but when i read about both editions spects it seems like there almost the same.. i dont see the hype thier making about the black edition... so plz help me figure this out if anyone knows...

The Black Edition is often clocked even higher than the XXX version. Also the lay-out of the card is different: 'Special Black look' vs normal look.

The Black and also the XXX versions are often sold for a very high price. Maybe you can look for a standard edition and clock it yourself.

oic so really not that big of a deal because all that it is a super clocked card that is black that your paying for... you go one there site and click on black edition member this is what it says "

ill just save money and get some thing cheaper.... i was going to get the 295 but going to hold off until i get the money for a i7 computer then get me a 295gtx.. thank you for the respond... i might not even get a xfx because i sent them a email asking the same thing and they still havnt respond so that just tells me they might have bad customer service....

I have a couple of the XFX Black GTX 285's and I couldn't be happier. I upgraded from XXX GTX 260's.

Maybe you should wait a while. HD4890 is around the corner and it's really faster than a GTX 260.

GTX 260 is a little bit old by now and still expensive. Same goes for the GTX 295.

If you buy a GTX 260 keep special attention to if it is a 216SP version and/or 55 nm.

you should hit up the competition then...EVGA... . you can contact them from HERE and see how long it takes them to reply to you.

IF you do decide to go with EVGA, be sure to REGISTER your product within 30 days of purchase for full warranty support and services. don't just create the user account, also submit the product SERIAL NUMBER!!!! if you just create an account that is NOT registering the product.

my pops owns their 260 verison what i like about them they come with a design back plate on them so your not looking at sodder joints and screws i might go get that brand very good cards.... thank you cd!!! ok cd i just sent them a email..lets see what happens..

did they answer all of the questions you asked them? did XFX ever answer your email?

and like i said in my previous post, be sure to REGISTER your card with EVGA. that means that you'll need to provide them your card's serial number and not just your info (addy, phone number, etc.)

EVGA i asked them about their back plates on the 295gtx and to see if all there 200 cards would have them....which they said just for the 295gtx now but later they are going to add them to all the 200 gtx cards...and for XFX still have not sent me a email....

oh, and another leg-up that EVGA has over XFX, is 24/7 support (except major US holidays of course)

XFX is only open 9am - 5pm PST Mon. - Fri.

thats what im getting EVGA but i put it on halt for 2 more weeks because tommrow im ordering a akai mpc 500 which is costing me $539 ill make a post on the forums on it with pics...thank you for your time cd!!!
