Looking at the specs. listed here...why isn't there anything about OpenGL? Doesn't that seem a little fishy?

You thinking about S3 Judas? I was really impressed with the kyro for a budjet card... so I hope they get back to it.

Yeah there suppose to release a power VR 5 chip or something like that, read a really bloated rant about that somewhere. This could be interesting to watch.

Hi guys,

There are benchmarks.... available on the net.

Quote:
This is CP, the editor contact at XGI.

As to your interest in knowing, the Volari Duo V8 Ultra has achieved 5600+ with 3DMark2003 on a 3.0GHz plateform(live demo at product launch). This only give you a brief idea on where the performance is.

Simplier way of remembering our product segments:

3DMark2003
Volari Duo V8 Ultra - 5600+
Volari Duo V5 Ultra - 4000+
Volari V8 Series - 3000+
Volari V5 Series - 2000+
Volari V3 Series - 1000+

This completes the product segmentation of the discrete desktop graphics productline

If you would need any other information, please do let me know.

Best Regards,

CP Lin

I'd guess since they will be bringing out so many variants, the pricing scheme will be similar or slightly less than Nvidia or ATI, therefore, the I would only see the Volari V8 to have the best best Price/Performance ratio (always assuming that the marketing/sales department uses the normal pricings). The two top contenders will (I think) probably be too expensive compared to other cards on the market (assomption)... only time and real user benchmarks will tell.

Yeah I would ask the same question too, now that they have the benchmarks, i wonder how would they cost. Given the reputation that nVidia and ATI have established, XGI would probably need a lower pricing to attract consumers. I wonder how these cards would do in CAD workstations.

I'd like to point out that however shiny and good their cards are, the fact still remains that their drivers suck.
