Default Post Anyone got?

Anyone have or know where to find voodoo 4 4500 drivers for winxp so i can play Jedi Knight 2 .... the thing is JD2 is powered by the quake 3 engine...ok well Q3, RTCW , max payne work jus fine but JD2 loads install then burp...crashes its pissin me off... i dont have the cash to go dish out on a geforce card right now.

Any help would be aprecciated tnxs ahead of time.

try posting in the 3dfx forum section as well, there are people who use the cards in there who might be able to help you out.

jedi knight 2 is quite video memory intensive increase the agp aperature in the system bios and see if that helps

Erm...i don't think it will

JK2 uses T&L.... something which 3dfx cards don't have. So you'd be better off using even a Geforc 2MX (sad ain't it?).... there may be a way to turn off all of the T&L and you should try looking for that. But understand that with 3dfx cards, you will have to use your processor to run Transform and Lighting in software. This puts a lot of strain on the cpu... and JK2 is already extremely CPU intensive... so you aren't left much leeway.

In your case you should defeniteley look for the latest drivers: http://voodoofiles.com

But don't expect any blazing performance from JK2 ... it is the Q3 engine, but a heavily modified version of Q3 at that... (it has its own special effects set... etc.)
