I like powerstrip to overclock with. So d/l it and 3d mark. Then start slowly 5- 10 mhz at a time core then memory.up them then run 3d mark and see what the difference is and look for any lines or aritfacts each time you run it. go slow with upping em. I am not that familiar with g force cards so do a google search on your particular card and see what people are getting out of them overclocking wise. Off hand i believe 320-330 core and 680-700memory is about the max, but every card oc's different and others here poprbably have a better idea of what you should get out of it. hope this helps some

Oh, and also welcome to D.H. it is a awesome place, nice to have you here.

Dude, you should be able to do at least 340/675. Those numbers sound really good and tangible to me. Give it a shot.

Welcome to the forum... As far as overclocking. there is a reg file that will allow you to overclock from display properties... it is built into all the nvidia drivers. you can get the reg file here at warp2search.

Download it (100 bytes - very small)
Run it, say yes.... right hand click on your desktop, properties -> settings -> advanced -> and click on the geforce tab.... Clock Frequencies... When you find an overclocked speed that is stable... you can enable the "apply these settings at start up" and you wont have to mess with any programs.

BTW my VisionTek XTASY Geforce4 Ti 4200se 128MB DDR ... hits 315/630 stable... So, I am sure that your card can do much more!

Working on modifying the voltages, and the HSF as well, I will post my results at some later date.

Good Luck!

If you can read a nanosecond figure on the memory on the card, divide it into 1000 - the result is the RATED clock speed for the memory.

For my Creative Geforce 2MX DDR - with lamentable 7nS RAM, that calculation delivers 143 - and sure enough, the stock RAM clock is 143 (286DDR)

If your RAM is not already clocked to to that limit, then you should reach it with no concerns, and it's not unheard of to find better RAM than required for the standard speed.

The first stage of any overclock, is to find out if you already have a reserve margin on the RAM.

Once above that rated figure, watch critically for any instabilty or visible glitches, and take it steadily, better to stop before you fry it!

I'd say get RivaTuner, that stuff allows me to oc WAY more than coolbits, and gives me complete control of my card, it's probably the greatest tweaker ever built, the only one that comes close is Rage3d Tweaker/Radeonator, but both use the same file to OC/tweak I think.
