Custom OC Case Designs

I was wondering if any one has thought up any case designs they think would be cool for OCing.

I thought up one that involves the motherboard and all the PCI/PCI-E cards to be sumerged in a non conductive liquid and pumped through a radiator. All wires needing to be run out from the motherboard and pci/pci-e cards will have custom design external components so it will be as mobile as a normal system.

THG did that.... it was more for silence than OCing

I had a cool idea. It involved a 1600 CFM furnace blower and some big heatsinks...

Wonder if there is a lighterweight liquid that would conduct heat but not electicity just as well, they used like 8 gallons of oil... that would be heavy as sin.

Well they used cooking oil for simplicity... motor oil would work better for that, a better conductor of heat... but any amount of liquid like that will be heavy.

My furnace blower idea would be pretty ownage if I could find a case to mount it to....

Or I could create a hard drive farm inside my new furnace's blower cabinet... when that thing gets going its 3000 CFM And its DC too so the AC/DC conversion is there too! Just gotta run some LAN out to the crawlspace...

only problem though is that so much air can only remove so much heat when u factor in ambient temp. same for water cooling. as ambient air passes thru rad, rad dissipates heat from water, water dissipates heat from components. now refridgeration/deepfreezer!!! i'd like to try that. if i could find a way around the whole condensation thing for every day use. "PLEASE INSERT DISK CONTAINING FILES D:\EVERYTHING.STUFF" pop open the ol trusty maytag and voila. disk 2 while installing black & white 2

A beer spigot on my PC!

Why not a mini-fridge near the computer and keep your water cooling reservoir in it, along with the Smuttynose and Dogfish Head IPAs? It could go in the ice compartment as long as the pump was running.
In the winter, a duct off the power supply could keep your feet warm.
All these "helpers" could be integrated into a single PC case/portable fridge.
"Please pass me a beer from my 'pooter". "You want hot coffee? No prob!"

Seriously, I have a Sears dehumidifier that is about to become a PC chiller.......

I've heard about those mini fridge ideas... usually too much of a PITA to get to work.

Dehumidifiers don't chill things, the compressors aren't powerful enough. You'd want an old fridge/freezer compressor or an old air conditioner compressor, that'll chill things plenty.

@NUCLEAR: I know air only removes so much heat but with that much air, the parts will be at air temp all the time! !
