SATA is driving me Nucking Futs
OK. So I have my NF7-S 1.2. I have two 40GB WD 7200rpm drives. I take out the jumpers. Create the array. Install Windows. Everything runs fine. Try to install SP1. Halfway through the install I get a blue screen with white lettering (not the BSOD) telling me that Windows had to shut down to prevent corruption. Every ****ing time I tried to install SP1 it did that.... I completely formatted both drives before making them an array. Once I made them an array I formatted them NTFS as one drive. Why the **** am I having problems once the drives are used a lot. It seems that I only get this problem when writing/reading from the drive very fast. I reformatted twice to see if that would fix it, nah, it doesn't.
What the hell is my problem? Why won't this work? To my knowledge both drives are fine. BAH!!!!!

Freedom is a feature.

Wait for SP2. This is maybe a bug in SP1.
Who knows. Something might help: Have you installed drivers for S-ATA before SP1?

At Abit, the drivers are 2.00
But there are 2.03 at Nvidia - even though ABIT link to the 2.00 at Nvidia http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?IO=nforce_udp_winxp_2.03 No mention specifically of the SATA driver though? |

No SHUKI. The problem is between Abit and SIlicone Image. The drives will run find but then become unstable and be cause corruption. The problem seems most prominent with Wester Digital drives. I've done a lot of poking around in the Abit forums to find that MANY people have this problem. I haven't seen anyone having problems with drives other than WD.
