Hate to Annoy, Need Ocing help with asus p5wdh deluxe
I just put together a system with a core 2 duo e6600, ocz ati certified pc-6400 ddr2-800 (2gb kit), asus p5wdh deluxe, and crossfire x1600 pro's. I am using a Game X Stream 700 watt psu and a Coolermaster Mars Cooling unit. (I'm assuming a 24c temp on stock settings with it). Also should I be ocing the fsb at all? let me know everything! heh. Even if its quick links to past posts or something.
I want to do this to the most stable potential and I'm hearing 3.6 ghz is the magic number to top at. I would greatly appreciate any instructions to make this possible, and also I guess the best potential out of my memory and graphics card. But I'm mostly focused on getting the cpu to achieve stable OC status. Thanks guys sorry for bugging I'm sure you guys get this all the time. But I trust experienced people. Just nudge up the FSB in 5MHz increments, doing a stability test each increment until you reach a point where it isn't stable or you're happy. A good stability test would be 3DMark 2006

A good stability testing program for cpu overclocking would be prime95... 3dmark will often run on processors overclocked far past the maximum point of stability.
