I'm getting a new heatsink/fan!

It is going to be a ThermalRIGHT SK7 heatsink with a thermalTAKE Smart Fan 2. So what do all you experts think of that? Is it a good selection?

I run the sk7 and a YSTech fan. You'll like the combo. It does a good job of cooling. Just be careful with the clip mounting. Use the right screwdriver so you don't slip off. Might want to put a credit card on the mobo before you push down with the screwdriver on the sk7 clip.

dunno how much that fan is nor anything about it. I've just got me an 80mm delta (not the screamer just like 43 cfm I think) and it does the job fine. As far as the heatsink goes.... a very, very good choice in the SK7!!!!!

General, your setup is good. Don't consider getting something else.

I got my SLK 800 today. Strapped on my old Smart Fan 2.... temps are 5-6C cooler than my V9 was at the same RPMs. You'll be happy with the SK7 General.

now that you've got your new hsf lets see that xp2100 hit 2600Mhz on air "easy".... I'm still waiting for you to back up that post of yours... asked you about before and you said you were limited because of cooling and when new hsf got in you'd be up there. Just wondering if you're there yet?

BAH! Yeah, when I have time. Aside from my girl complaining that we aren't working and my job I have little time to fuck around. Like right now, I'm doing homework. Hmmm... You can wait shuki. As can I. I was just pricing some OCZ PC3500 EL ram. 76$ a stick.. 152$ total with free 2 day shipping from googlegear. Also I am waiting for my mobo to be RMAed. I cannot run two sticks of ram stable. I don't know why. So I am waiting for the cross-shipped board. See, I have no time. It'll be two weeks before I can get my mobo back from Abit RMA.

Did you get the TMD fan? (tip magnetic drive) or something like that- the one with the motor around the outside og the fan.
