Overclocking XPS 1710 (Go 7950 GTX)
I have this model on the way from Dell.
XPS 1710 Intel Core Duo t7400 (2.16) 2Gb Memory 120Gb HDD Go 7950 GTX (512mb) Now I have done some research and it seem Dell ships these units with the 7950's memory underclocked (so to speak). I read that the Factory specs from Nvidia are 575/700 and dell ships 575/600. I understand that this is a very powerful card and doesn't need to be overclocked but I would like to get the memory up to Nvidias factory spec of 700 (I know it won't make much of a difference). Here are some preliminary benches I found. These show the card memory clock tested at 700 as well 600. I also read that Dell has locked the BIOS on this card and the only way to overclock is to flash (which I am not willing to do). What I am asking is has any one been able to get this to overclock, maybe with Rivatuner without flashing? This is definitely not a big issue with me but more just an interest. Thanks.

You might Google for workarounds but I think 99% of people would either leave it alone (hence them buying a Dell, not being major tweakers) or just flash it (the tweakers).

Ya, I understand. I will probably just be leaving it. I will try rivatuner but I doubt it will save the clock speeds.

Well you can always have it apply them at startup right?
