System Specs

I have done that to P3 450Mhz slot1 and overclocked it to 600Mhz, 100Mhz fsb to 133 fsb, with no problems. It needed good modern cooling though ...

Average o/c at Overclockers.com shows 670. Have you tried adjusting the voltage? or changing the agp/bus to 2/3 instead of 1/1?
If I recall they weren't really great overclockers.

some of the slot designed cpu's i've never had any reasonable luck with, they are just designed badly imo in terms of getting top performance from them. Your mostly just lucky if you can get a decent overclock on them.

H3X4D3C1M4L will become famous soon enoughH3X4D3C1M4L will become famous soon enough

Most of those mobo's weren't designed to deliver much power to the CPU slot.

Its probably just that.... if you're not running a good mobo on it I wouldn't expect it to do that well

And when you OC typically the proc draws more power than a CPU clocked at the target speed by default
