Overclock on 3400+

ok cpu-z was giving me funky readins. so i used everest, and it sees my new OC as a 3800+ instead of a 3400+ Is this normal?

It may be just how your computer detects it. I have my 3500 at 2.6ghz but it is still detected as a 3500.

If you don't have any problems with it then it is probably an error om the program's part reading your CPU by the clock speed instead of what it actually is.

If this is the case then I wouldn't worry about it too much, to it you have 3800 lol.

Thanks man. I figured as much but thought maybe somoeone else may have had the same error. Im not complaining - had mine @ 2.6 but lowerd it for the vista install - 2.4 does the job. Anyone got one of these to 3GHZ?

Hell go for it if you think can do it without your system catching fire.

Just curious, what temps do you idle with?
