legal weirdness and part weirdness
This is a sort of two part one.
Part one: Ok, I just bought a new mb a little bit ago (the NF7S), so I had to take my heatsink off to move the processor over, and I think I might have gone and not applied the AC3 right being my temps are about 10 degree's higher than they were with my old board(ASUS SIS745). Should I be worried and try to re-apply this stuff? I mean I did everything perfect except putting down the processor I had a slip(damn clip wouldent fasten) and I'm worried I might have screwed things up. The other possibility is that the NF7-s has a more responsive CPU stat. Or the board simply runs hotter overall. I just want to know if it would be worth is to start over and do it again. (board was running at 38 C and now 48 C with my processor fan running at the same speed) Other thing isint really a question more of a finding out that I cant put a better fan on my 9700PRO unless I want to throw the 70 bucks I paid for warranty in store for 4 years out the window. Simply because the store has a deal with ATi to send stuff back to them for the duration of their warranty. Which is retarted. If I knew I'd get it back I'd demand my money. Another major chain around here had no issue with repairing my tnt2 ultra card with a few modifications. I'll probibly not be buying anymore hardware from them. |
