X6800 @ 5.3ghz and QX6700 @ 5.1ghz by Cpt.Planet
Quadcore QX6700 all 4 cores enabled

Super pi was around 9.7 seconds at 5.15ghz Wprime32 was 17.190s

CPU: Intel QX6700 2.66ghz and Intel X6800 2.93ghz
Cooling: Team IronMods Liquid Nitrogen Pot Rev 3
Motherboard: DFI Infinity 965 Dark
Memory: PNY PC2 8500 SLI Ready and Geil PC9600
PSU: PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750watt for cpu and board
PSU2: Silverstone Zues 650 watt for graphis and hdds
Vide: EVGA 8800GTS and EVGA 8800GTX
HDD: Western Digital 74gig Raptor

I will be running on my evga 680i in the next coming weeks and the clocks should only be higher.

Nope never killed any hardware ever running on ln2 or dry ice. It always happens when i run air. So i fixed that by running ln2 and dry ice.

you need a higher FSB to achieve better super pi scores... great overclock... but an unlocked multi is kinda cheating :P

System Specs

Are either of those setups prime stable at those speeds?

How much juice are the setups actually pulling? Would they work with only 1 high-wattage quality PSU?

Yes I know that. The quad had issues with FSB. It had a wall at about 350 FSB nomatter what board. The X6800 I was just testing first time on LN2 with it so I wanted to exclude FSB and memory as being a factor. I will drop the multi and turn the FSB up next time. There also is no real Prime stable when running ln2 or dry ice only benchmark stable.

No. I could run PI 1m at 5.15~5.2 on the X6800. 3d stable was around 4.8. On the quad it was totally stable at 4.8. I sold the quad due to the issues it had. It had a severe FSB wall and didnt like to OC.

I would rather run 2 psus. In theory I could run quad 8800GTXs wit h that setup. Even through I could run the entire system off 1 psu I want to make sure that all teh components are going to get enough power.

i overclocked my mates x6800 to 4.4ghz on dry ice.. but with a fsb of 1200mhz

1200MHz FSB? Multiplied out that's 4800MHz effectively if memory serves, higher even than your proc's OC! (And here I was thinking IBM was the only company capable of producing a FSB that runs faster than its proc).

Now if you meant 300MHz * 4... that's more reasonable but that's one high ass multiplier, no?
