Anyone Seen Corsairs new offering?

Their offering dual channel low latency DDR 3200 packs. Anyone seen or tested them? Any noticeable* increase opposed to seaperate modules?

the RAM is not too terribly expensive... At my local retailer its only about 10 dollars more Canadian if you seaperate the sticks prices. I do admit they should try and save you cost being its a kit.

I'm looking into buying some 3200 memory when I get a new processor.

*Noticeable = not superficial benchmarks. It means actual application gain. Least in my books.

I have 2 sticks of the Low Latency memory. My friend also bought that TwinX Low Latency pack that you are talking about. The TwinX modules are supposedly tested to work well in dual-channel motherboards. Both sticks are tested together for maximum compatiblity. It really isn't a money saving kit! LOL! Both my friend and I are very happy with the memory, as are most others that use Consair's memory.

As for seeing a noticeable difference--I doubt it. The modules are tested together for compatibilty, and I do not think you will really see an performance gain from it. There is the potential for the memory to overclock better together, however. You will see a small increase in some applications due to the fact that it is Low Latency memory, but it will be far from earth shattering or anything.

If this is worth it is really all up to you. This is high performance overclocking memory. Do you plan to overclock and seriously tweak your system? That is what this memory is made for. If you are not, then I am sure that you could find other memory for a cheaper price.

Well, this is the overclocking forum.

Heh, well, yeah I know that too. Most of the time when you buy more you get a deal. I go with seaperate sticks for now its worked so far.

I have 2.5 latency sticks running at 2 and I've been inching them up to 300mhz. I'm running processor in parallel speed with my FSB so I'm currently limited by my processor, unfortunatly. Cant seem to break 296 at current (its not stable! Windows doesent always boot the first time where I am at 280). Palimenos suck. I'll try unlocking it... Though I'm wary to playing around with the processor.

Games run very well where I am, I'm just going back to school for a bit so I really need to think about upgrading while I'm still working.

edit - damn processor names... Though from what I hear the bartons kinda suck too.
