Does anybody know or have you heard if these cards - Saphire9700pro's OC well in general?

depends on the memory type....i believe 2.8 are the best for 9700, sapphires are good cards, no doubt about that. 3.0 are okay, 3.3 kinda sucks and 3.6 are really bad. most info u can get at rage3d.net's forum.

They oc alright, usually u get 2.8 on a 9700, but u might get slightly slower, like 3.0, just test it out, and if u get OEM u might need a bios flash

Oh, so some of them come with 2.8 ns ram then? I didn't know that.

I haven't seen a r9700pro without 2.86ns ram. Thats probably what you have.

Well I don't have anything right now- sent the other one back and trying to decide what to buy.. I thought most 9700pros came with 3.0ns ram?? The one I got was an OEM and came w/ 3.3 ns ram so I sent it back for a refund-- Now I am trying to decide what brand to go with-
