9500 Pro with Infineon 3.0ns -- what is your highest overclock?
I got my Sapphire 9500 Pro with 3.0ns Infineon memory running at 355/320. Anybody having luck running the memory faster? I know that it should be good for 333Mhz, but anybody have better results?

What makes the biggest difference, turning up the core clock, or the mem speed?

The core clock makes a greater difference, but by overclocking the memory you can bridge the gap betwen a core overclock. To put simply my 333/322 (core / mem) overclock scored the same 3dmarks as my (324/335) overclock. Just FYI.

Usually the 3.0ns will get 220-230 max overclock. After that you can crank the GPU up to 360-380..

You mean 320-330 I think. Why can the core clock go so high? It's the same as the 9700 Pro, which is clocked at 325Mhz, so I'm wondering why the 9700 Pro isn't clocked at 350 or higher. As for the memory, is it possible to put a type of "heat spreader" across the four memory chips if we have the type of 9500 Pro that has the power connector close to one of the chips?

Since you have Infineon 3.0ns memory, you may as well use the BIOS for 3.0ns memory.
You can get the unlocked 9500 Pro BIOS for Infineon 3.0ns at http://tric.topcities.com/Files/9500_30.BIN You can get the unlocked 9500 Pro BIOS for Infineon 3.3ns at http://tric.topcities.com/Files/9500_33.BIN You can then go to http://www.3dchipset.com/bios/ati/flash/index.php to download the ATI flash utility. You will need to make a bootable DOS disk. Once you have that done, copy all of the atiflash files over to the bootable DOS disk. When you reboot your computer with the bootable floppy disk at the A:\ prompt type: atiflash -s 0 original.bin (That is a ZERO not an "o". This will backup your original BIOS). Once you have your original BIOS saved, type: atiflash -f -p 0 9500_30.BIN (That is a ZERO not an "o". This will flash the new BIOS. If you had a card with 3.3ns Infineon memory, you would use 9500_33.BIN instead of 9500_30.BIN). Once this is completed, power down your system for a couple of second and then back up again. You should now be able to overclock. I use the latest version of Rage3D Tweak . Good luck! MW

thanks very much for details info.
I have just one more question. Since i got my 9500pro from connect3d,i'm wondering if it's not BBA card, because is very similar to BBA card, has the same heatsink and fan. So can u link up your 9500pro from sapphire because i heard that newest sapphire 9500pro are very much like BBA card (red PCB,same heatsink and fan).
