I am embarrased myself, my case looks like it got looted in Bagdad! I have some ghetto mods that push more cool air accross the chipsets and vidcard and hard drive. I make lots of stuff out of metal and plastic so I can form and bend to my liking and make molds too, do you shop the outlet retails stores for your internals or do you buy on line. I shop computer enthusiast online and get good deals, but for the most part, I chop and hack computers from the hospital where I work. I am currently working on a way to make a presentation out of 8 sequential monitors (displays in a row) with animation that sends the image in a series to each and everyone of them, I pirated a copy of an art exhibit that someone did here locally during a tech convention, they used Matrox parhelia's I think, not sure.
I have an old 8500 ATI that seems to work just fine for XP and gaming, (flight sims uggh) all the other machines attached to the server have 7500s .. If I can make all the cards all in wonders, I can get this thing off the ground.... I do sketches and artwork and it eats up lots hours at night, but my kid are almost grown and my ex wives(2) leave me alone on weekends... do you have any banshees to worry about, ha ha.. I read MaximumPC magazine, and I see wonderful case mods in there, they even have contests... some of the winners are damn impressive, you might get some ideas, but you did a pretty good job...

Heheh thanks man, I mostly just buy shit online and modify it in ways, that pic is pretty old, If i were to take a new pic it looks even better, and its as quiet as a cat when it purrs, you basically hear nothing, and I have like 5 fans in there, two of them HIGH quality ThermalTake's and I have a geForce FX5200 in there, I love it, it's silent because of my A7N8X, the motherboard gives you a feature in the BIOS where it controls the speed of the fans, so I tried it and I stuck to it ever since, I hear NOTHING!
![]() That project of yours seems pretty cool, I'd love to have some more information on it.

Why do you like ASUS?
I used ASUS products for years, never burned one up. After my second divorce the old lady (#2) took everything so I use the crappy DFI stuff, nothing wrong with it, just well....challenged.
I love all the ASUS products and wish I could get my hands on some cheap stuff here, but they charge an arm and a leg for it, I used to live in Japan and could get it for a nominal price over invoice, ha ha... I love the stability of ASUS and I am told that MSI is pretty stable, but I get most of that from Maximumpc magazine, they are sort of my Road and Track and Car and Driver for geeks, ha ha... I posted a new thread about a DH magazine, I think it would be awesome if I could somehow convince them it is a good idea, but I don't have a few million bucks to throw around, ha ha.... when did you start modding cases? I am too ashamed of mine....I must spend lots of money of compressed gas to blow out mine, ha ha... I am totally ghetto when it comes to my stuff because I change it all the time. I mostly just work with an old Adobe photoshop program and steal good ideas, oops I meant "borrow"..

cool window & case
![]() in my opinion, asus is not the best choice for a motherboard ... i love gigabyte and abit gigabyte provide a lot of features and they have dualbios, which i think is a very strong feature.however, your mod was beautiful ! |
