Need help Soft Overclock Ati 9550

Hi
My video card is Gigabyte Radeon 9550 Rv 350 128 mbit Hynex 5 ns

I want to overclock it, but only software overclock - don't want to flash the bios

What do i have to do ? I've read a dozen forums a nd1000 articles and i tried everything, but i can not unlock the protection.
I've tried to install the Softmod version 7.8 which is the latest - followed very carefully the instructions. The same with Omega drivers latest version. I also tried with older versions of the pack. But no. When i set the new frequences of the GPU and the ram very soon they reset to default.
And i also deleted the previous drivers as i read somewhere in the net - first from the CP, then restart in safe mod, then driver cleaner and finaly install any new drivers.
Ati tool has an option to unlock my Video card. I tried this as well - no results.

Where is the problem then ? Please help !

I also have a ati 9550 and overclock it through ATT. You might not have applied the overclock.
And yeah the clocks go to default whenever u start ATT so what i do is , i overclock it and save it in a profile. Then i make ATT load that profile when it starts up. I dont actually remember where you can make it load a profile on startup cuz i dont have it installed right now but you will find it easily.

But i wanna ask if 9550 can be soft-modded too? i see an option to mod 9500 during installation, so i wanna ask can i do that with 9550 too?
thx in advance
