When did you start overclocking?

When did you start overclocking? What processor were you overclocking?

First real overclock for me was a 486DX/2 50MHz @66MHz

What about you guys? (and gals)

Ah, well, I'm no raw model

My first PC was only in 2000, a Celly@500 that didn't oc at all... The P3 800EB was a totally different story And the Tually 1300 is a charm

That was last year

First overclock was also my first case mod. I turned my generic rig into a "wind tunnel" for cooling, and overclocked my AMD Slot A Athlon from 600 to ~850. I got it to 900 at one point, but after an hour of hard gaming or so it would lock up no matter what I did, so the "official" OC was +250. I was using the Free Speed Pro GFD (gold finger device) to unlock it. Ahh, the good ol' days.

My Pentium 166 @ 200MHz. That was the highest the motherboard would go.
