Look what wandered in...(CrossfireX benchin')

Well.....

It begins

As far as game testing? I havent quite figured out what ones to do....

Most likely -

3dMark05/06
PCMark05/Vantage
(like the above are real showing of this cards performance, but I like them all the same)
Lightsmark
FUR Rendering test
Bioshock
Crysis
The Witcher
STALKER

Cheers

PS- Expect high CPU clock (4000mhz+), not so much on RAM though (traded 8888C4DF for 8GB of 8500C5D/ Waiting on 9136 4GB kits.

Had to sleep it was 6am my time

EDIT: For simplicity of testing.....

All tests will be run at 450x8 (3.6ghz) DDR2 900 4-4-4-12 and Cards at stock. Just for the ease of doing game testing.

Also I will post up a 4ghz cpu with like DDR2 1100 and 4-4-4-12/5-5-5-15 (not sure what this ram will do yet) of the futuremark suites.

Yeah yeah

However.... testing on Crysis is on hold but from what I saw with DX10 @ high its a very nice improvement. And using the custom DX9 settings for DX10 looks, and 2x AA it runs flawlessly, thats actually what made it jump over 900W.

Yeah Im gonna take mine off, and redo it

Got my 8GB installed today, redoing timings.... gonna stay 5-5-5-15 though, since these are very dense modules, and they dont really need to refresh as fast as regular 1GB sticks.

Some benches over the weekend!

Doing them, I wasnt able to get home yesterday I was 2hrs away, and we got a very large snow storm, so I was stuck in a hotel overnight... I will at least be able to do 3d06/05 and pcmark with these.

EDIT: Oh yeah, with 8GB modules....set your TRFC around 50-60. It allows for best performance.

EDIT2: I am still fine tuning these modules.... they are quite fun to play with.

BIOS Settings:

DDR2 1081 (5:6)
5-5-3-13-4-60-4-4 (TRFC=60, these sticks love it.)
NB Voltage - 1.65 (1.7v actual)
DRAM Static Read - ENABLED
AI Clock Twister - STRONG
Transaction Booster - Disabled (0)

This is actually stable. In comparison to my previous tuning I gained

READ - 353MB/s
WRITE - 105MB/s
COPY - 179MB/s
LATENCY - 2.5ns (went from 56.7ns to 54.2ns)

Also got some gains on my L2 cache speeds as well.

Update!

Ok so Futuremark Suites are done........

Game testing underway.... However STALKER still will not run on my system... same XRAY 3D crash error nonsense.

Anyways learned alot more about the Maximus Formula, and I am about to turn Maximus Formula into a Rampage Formula...

also had to reinstall the 8.3, Quadfire stopped working, I think it was isolated though.

Ok for Gaming tests, would you rather a min/avg/max type? or in the form of the Crysis Time demo?

Gotcha, does the rampage have TRC and TRFC opened fully? The Maximus doesnt have too many options concerning these.
