help!!!!!

guys, i 've this major problem, when i Oc a step further, i keep getting the "send error report" message which forces me to close all the programmes.(especially internet explorer.......)
i got those problems @ 3.04, Vcore=1.700/1.675, ddr voltage=2.7(max), and memory timings=3-3-4-6
But, after i clock down 1 notch, things go back to normal.........

by the way,after testing again,i encounter no problems using 3dmark01se, UT2003, Sandra's @3.04
Agghhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!.......here it comes again !AAHHHH!!!!..........

what are your temps?

have you maxed the vcore too?

could be that is your OC limit without some hardware modifications. ie. vmem mod or vdd mod etc...

i didnt have any problems running sandra's burn in wizard, the max temps are around 54*c...

sandra burn in is not good for measuing temps. download toast (link in sticky) and run that for 5 minutes and see what your temp in windows is... I would not raise the vcore any more until you know how hot the cpu is at 1.675/1.7 I betcha you get up over 60c...

for temps I would use motherboard monitor 5. link is also there in the sticky. read through the read me and configure your sensors and you'll be set. take your time with it and you'll get it. for OCing, MBM 5 is a valuable tool

those possiblilities only increase with OCing. its called stability and a number of things can cause it

You can keep doing that until something burns out and then you'll want a bit more juice
What mobo you have?
I suggest you get a SoundBlaster Live 5.1+ sound card (36 bucks on www.newegg.com)
And get some Creative Live 2.1 speakers -- tried them GREAT sound GREAT BASS (i think around 40 bucks on googlegear.com)

another question guys, what's the use of the option "Adjust Vcore" which can be set to offset 100mV and 200mV, any ideas??(in the bios)

shuki, the results are here...........3.02@1.675 = 52*C, 3.04@1.675 = 54*C (after running toast on high priority for 6'30 minutes). (so, you lost your bet, LOL~) what now??

what now? I say you stay content with as high of a stable OC as you can get. Before these wonder tbred "b" chips came out, a 10% overclock was right about average and very good. Stock you are at 2.67Ghz add another 10% to that and you have 2.94 or so. You're over that at 3+Ghz. I would say you have reached your hardware limitations without doing some hardware mods or going to water cooling.

so kick back, put your feet up and relax
