Has anyone, (which in this forum more than likely has), done any benchmark comparisons with hyperthreading turned on versus turned off, and what were the results? Also is their any place in WXP you can turn hyperthreading on or off, other than in the bios? Unfortunately, I have an Intel mb, and hyperthreading is no where to be found in the bios utility on start-up. I have the Intel D845PECE mb. I cant even change my aperture size with this mb either. Thanks for any replys!

Here's a link to an article from Tom's
http://www.tomshardware.com/cpu/20021114/index.html As far as I can tell, it doesn't make a huge difference while gaming. Now run those benchmarks while running winamp in the background etc etc... <shrug> I don't have an HT proc myself so I can only imagine :P |

Thanks for the article tip. Looks like leaving hyperthreading enabled is the best route to take, overall.
