noctua chipset cooler

nv u6. while this is a great cooling solution, i wouldnt buy unlees ur planning on having your mb for long time.
i am replacing my mb, & while my new p5e3 deluxe does not need this it would have been nice to put in my wifes comp. unfortunalyey it needs this little 'cushion' that goes around the actual chipset so there is even pressure- problem they only supply one. & it is so fragile there is no way for it not t obe destroyed upon removal of the cooler.
i am sure if u find/have appropriate material a 'workaround' could be made, but i think noctua scrwed the pooch on this one. moving it to another mb was easily foreseeable.
anyway, just a heads up.

I used the little foam seals that are used on doors and windows. You know the ones that have an adhesive backing. Then i cut it down a little and cut the pieces lengthwise in half.

yeah no problem. Yeah i had mine without cushoin for awhile but i found that with my Thermalright cooler i couldn't get max contact/pressure on the chip without being afraid i was going to break/touch something. So i went to the hardware store

I just put the adhesive on the bottom of the heatsink, that way i never need to replace it.
