Mobility Modder for my Radeon Mobility X1400
Hello, I was wondering what catalyst version I should be getting for my ATI Radeon Mobility X1400 to improve my gaming capabilities.
Also, I can't really find a way to pay for driver cleaner... How exactly should I go around modding drivers? What is driver modding anyway? I'm sorry, but I'm a complete idiot when it comes to drivers. =_= Thanks in advance to anyone willing to help me!! Mark EDIT: I'm trying to play Devil May Cry 4... I have 2 monitors... When I do the DMC4 screen test, I get a grade of D, and they say "stylish action is an impossibility." Will unplugging my other monitor speed up my gaming in any way? Also, I have Catalyst version 7.2 =) |

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!
1. You should uninstall the old drivers before installing modded drivers. Mod the drivers first then uninstall old ones and reboot. 2. Driver modding in this case is adding some lines of text, mainly drivers ID's, to the drivers .inf files. 3. Unplugging your 2nd monitor could improve a bit but I wouldn't expect it improve so much that you get better grade in DMC4's test. |
