3D apps my new nemesis

Its kind of funny. I finally convince my computer to overclock stable past 140FSB, then I'm greeted with 3d applications not running two mhz later... This is annoying, and I know I've read about a few having similar issues. All I've been really doing is playing around with bios settings hoping to get past this little problem...

Because really, we overclock so our 3d apps run better. I mean I'm not trying to overclock word here!

Machine is running at a cool 24°, and the processor at 45°(heavy load). Considering the processor was running at 50° with me not applying AS. Windows is absolutely stable I had it on for 3 days no issue. I figure I got a bit to go yet.

So any good advice anyone?

I figure I'll need it as once I get past this problem I imagine I'll run into a few more...

are you dropping the multi too? or just upping the fsb? probably time to nudge up some voltages. either vcore or vdimm or both.

I cant lower the multiplayer, yet... I have not been able to find any conductive paint to mod my palimiono properly. I think I may just junk it and buy a 2100TB for 100 bucks. My multiplayer is locked at 11.5 anyway so its not too bad.

If I cant seem to get my RPD timing down under 3 at higher than 140fsb too. So it seems I'm rather limited with some of my parts. ITs my kingston value ram 512 I'm sure....

Yeah your probibly right. I've never liked mucking with voltages... I'll probibly jsut see if I can pawn my processor off on someone.

I know a lot of people with great results on that kingston generic ram! and that processor will make someone a very solid cpu! Server maybe? then put those $'s toward a good stepping tbred b

just go to an auto parts store and get some of the Defroster fixing paint and that should work just fine, I was able to unlock my 1800+ Palamino...

Heh, I already sold it. I had a buyer lined right up actually. I got myself a high end TbredB heh. I even saved 10 bucks... I kinda feel bad about that, but then I bought some ice cream with the leftovers.

Hmm, well, I'm going to "play" with it. Its the only other 256 meg stick I got so once I get my paws on another 512 for dual channel I'll see. The crucial stuff is what I've got with it. They do pretty well.
