Re: Question about tuning or overclocking gpu
never had a Nvidia card before, but it seems RivaTuner is good at OC'ing GFX cards (i use it on my X1650 for fan control, and it's great)
wait for some more advice from other experienced users before your first try =D |

Re: Question about tuning or overclocking gpu
i agree with the YnHDaRkMaN, RivaTuner is the ultimate utility for OCing the GPU and the RAm on either nVidia or AMD (ATI) cards, it's a little hard to comprehend the way the program works at first, but then you'll get used to it... with a little help from some tutorials on how to OC your GPU with RivaTuner
... download the program and install it, then read some tutorials on how to OC your GPU and RAM with RivaTuner, Google for the tutorials, there must be thousands of them...

Re: Question about tuning or overclocking gpu
Atitool is pretty good for ATI cards.. Don't know if they support nvidea cards now though.. In the past they didn't.

Re: Question about tuning or overclocking gpu
sometimes your installation disk comes with a little folder inside it that allows you to change a registry file in the stock installation of nVidia Control Panel to include OCing options but this is a rare comodity I suggest Riva Tuner all the way. I use it on my 8600 GT and 7600 GT in my gaming rig and media center PC respectively (the latter to ensure the fan isn't screaming like a banshee
)

Re: Question about tuning or overclocking gpu
Or ATi Tray Tools for (afaik) only ATi cards. Now support for HD48xx-series and fancontrol too and that helps.
