What makes you think this Zar? Well I didn't get the hand picked.... But I just have to say I've never been satisfied with mine. Maybe cuz I run dual channel... But personally I wouldn't say OCZ PC3500 is the best out there.

I was wondering about that: 17008 '01Marks?! Wow! Either that 9500 is overclocked or the overclocked cpu boosted the score a whole lot. I've got a 9500 non-pro that accepts the driver hack, but with everything stock I got 11790! How high was your stock score, Wyre (or did you run and save a test with everything stock)? Some of the tests showed you had about double on me! My compare links are in my rig-page.

Wyre, can't you push the FSB a bit more?
You will gain a lot by pushing it to 210/215 MHz, you might even drop the multi to 11 and still have better performances.
Or is it the memory holding you back? What's the chips on it? Winbond?

Hey Peroni... I can reach 210 without a problem... but I have to drop my timings drastically to get to it... Right now the best performance is holding at 200MHz. But the memory hasn't gone through a burnin as of yet... I am going to torture it tonight... Then I will see if it will hang at 210. Yes it has WinBond chips onboard... they are the LJKHGILKHJ:H something or another -5 memory chips... I am actually quite surprised by the performance... I have nearly 3GB of bandwidth... Running the timings ULTRAtight.. 6-3-2-2

Hello Wyre, hello everybody.

That's a nice rig you've got there I've just got a couple of points for you.

In 3dmark2001 your Environment bump mapping scores are really low, I had this problem too, the Cat3.5s fixed this for me (check my sig). Also, your mobo should have Nvidia sounstorm as onboard sound. This should be superior to your Philips soundcard (only the Audigy2 has superior sound and specs) give it a try. You'll find that your computer will then be able to complete all of the 3dmark03 sound tests.

When you've burned in, try 11.5 x 217 at 1.9Volts. If it holds, you'll have 2.5Ghz!

Congrats again on your rig, you have some excellent scores on the 3dmarks there! All set for Doom3 and H/life2!

Well, I tried the Cat 3.5 ... and it didnt help ... I dont have a 9700 Pro .. I have a 9500 non pro built by Sapphire The memory speeds are not all that high ... so that causes the tests to be slower.

Secondly ... my MSI K7N2 Delta-L doesnt have the SoundStorm audio ... it has Realtek audio onboard ... which in my opinion is crap compared to the Philips Acoustic Edge.

But I appreciate you trying to help out...

Welcome to the forum! and please enjoy your stay
