that's unfortunate.... i was being hopeful.

would be nice if 6 gpu system was a working solution.

I would suspect this will change very quickly when dual/quad core gpu's start to arrive

I just hope it fits in my coolermaster cosmos.. i don't expect to have problems.... the only issue i'm really concerned about is how hard it's going to be to change out the ram. Might have to do a mangled hand reacharound to manage a ram swap. (at least it looks like it lol)

why, just because you can and it looks cool? I mean, there are other coolers out there that are smaller and do a better or same job right?

Actually viewing alot of the coolers and reviews.. (i've been doing this since i received the dragon kit)... anyone that's dealt with the V10 basically states that while for normal stock cooling, it's extreme overkill, the temperatures are considerably better then a stock cooler no doubt, however it's NOT as good as some of the cheaper cooling solutions avaliable.

HOWEVER, as soon as the overclocking begins, the cooler performs more and more efficiently producing even lower temperatures then those other coolers. One reviewer even went as far as to say it's on par with that of water cooling solutions, basically the best damn cooler you can possibly get when it comes to air.

I can always order it later.... maybe i'll just get a above average cooler for the time being and make sure things are working right before jumping for the big honking guns.

Re: AMD Dragon Kit has come!..... Awesome

Apparently Thermalright True coolers are one of the best performers in the market. (I've got the 120 eXteme, but haven't done any overclocking yet so I can't tell you very much about performance while OCing).

But you should read some reviews about it. Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme vs. Super Coolers (page 7) - X-bit labs

PS: if you're just buying a cooler for the time during the wait, I'd just stick to the stock cooler... Btw, if you want the cooling performance, why don't you go for watercooling instead of buying that humongous cooler?

Re: AMD Dragon Kit has come!..... Awesome

Just a quick update for everyone.

I've almost got my system built, just waiting on a few more parts.

Building it all inside a CM Storm Sniper and I'm watercooling the CPU.

Pics in a few days, just waiting on a new dual radiator.

You are only going to see a difference between the Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme and the Coolermaster V10 when you get into higher overclocks, the V10 pulls ahead because it is TEC/Air Cooler.

Stock cooling they are about the same, and mild overclocks.

In the end the V10 is not worth the extra money, if you are going to do that you might as well go watercooling (build your own, not premade kits) and really get better performance.

I'm watercooling this machine, just waiting on the last part!

The triple fan radiator I have won't fit inside the case I am using so I ordered a double fan radiator. Unfortunately I paid via PayPal echeque by accident so it is taking forever to clear, I should have it all setup shortly though.

Re: AMD Dragon Kit has come!..... Awesome

I think 100% stability is what all you guys should be aiming for with your overclocks...

And if you could run Cinebench R10 (multi CPU) and Sisoft Sandra Mem Bandwidth I think those two apps would give a fair representation of what system has been most successful. (Both of those programs are free which is also ideal)

Yeah I think I will be giving those two applications a shot.

Just waiting on a final part now, I have everything ready except a radiator bracket I need for my Silverstone TJ10 case.
