DH and AMD ROCK!!!

Hi all, i see i am a bit behind the other guys... guess I should have been to the DHL office sooner!!!

Waiting for me there was the awesome stuff below...

So now i have to work out where to get some new DDR3 and maybe some other components to go along with it all... then its time to OC this kit!

getting DDR2 instead of ddr3 just means you don't have to pay as much to build the rig....

course i wouldn't have minded getting the T version of the board.. as i already have a 8gb kit here

Thanks for pointing that out guys... saw AM3 and made an assumption without looking closely. I think i will keep it for now.

Ordering my components by Wed/Thursday and building as soon as they arrive. So far i have chosen some corsair memory which is rated above 1066mhz so I have a bit of room for overclocking etc.

well if the V10 performs as it should.. and the OCZ Freeze Thermal Paste (4th tube) isn't like the previous others that didn't work, i think i maybe be able to get as close to H2O cooling conditions as possible with air

Man, that V10 review today got me thinking... was all set to buy one of those but now it seems its too much trouble... back to the drawing board in think, maybe something from Thermalright...

Too bad the Megahalems doesn't support AM3, it's often better than a TRUE

The Scythe Mugen 2 is a good cooler with a good price if you ask me. If I were you I would get one of those.

Hey all, sorry for the lack of updates. Took my cooler and memory longer to arrive than I expected but I have them now

After a lot of thinking I went for the Domino thing from Coolit and so now I have...

Asus Board
AMD 940
Asus X2
Coolit Domino
2x2gb Corsair dominators (with fans), rated for 1100+ MHz which should be enough.

I'll be using my existing optical drive for this build which leaves me with the decision on the PSU/HD that I need to buy next.... SSD's are so tempting, as are those new raptor's but they both look so expensive!!!
