Water cooling....

I'm posting this here so hope it's the right spot...

I live an apartment building, 3rd floor. Summer time is brutal on my system. My pc is located in my bedroom and the air unit is in the living room. Easy solution would be to move my pc into the living room area however with limited space, I can't really do that.

I'm looking for an easy to install, easy on the pocket book way to cool this thing and figured water cooling was the best way (example, it's 95 degrees here and 90 in my room).

I'm wondering if you guys might be able to suggest something that's easy to install and fairly cheap, got about 150 to work with. Maybe a little more depending.

My case is a Cosmos 1000 and there is a lot of room to work with plus it looks like there are two ports on the back for water pipes, I just don't know which to go with.

As it is end of June and it's already this hot, my gaming time will be limited if I stick with strictly air cooling on this thing.

Any ideas? Specs are in the pull down.

Thanks.

Domino ALC
http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews.php?reviewid=691

I have no experience with it whatsoever, but I heard nothing but good things about it so far. Cheap, effective and easy to set up. Macdaddy has it i think, you could ask him some extra info.

Oh, if you want to watercool you video card, I'm not sure you can add it to the loop. :/

Re: Water cooling....

For the CPU the Domino A.L.C. would be a good application for that case. You have two top as well as one rear 120mm fan position so it shouldn't limit the case cooling to your cards or other devices.

What is causing the most heat within the case? That is the best place to start.

Re: Water cooling....

Well, the issue here, I think, is the shear ambient temperatures of his room. That's freakin' hot! Domino ALC is the best way to go for your setup I think. The only problem with that setup is, like Mac said, that there maybe something else that is suffering a lot more in that hot room

Re: Water cooling....

I am thinking the video cards are probably causing a lot of the heat too let us know jandarsun8. Maybe run Everest or HWmonitor to see where all the temps are at.

Re: Water cooling....

Thanks guys for the suggestions. It's the vid cards that are causing most of the heat. I swapped out the standard CPU cooler a while ago for a XigmaTek HDT series cooler and it stays around 47/50C even on hot days, however the vid cards were running around 48C this winter under load and now they are pushing 60/70 C's depending. When it hit 95 the other day, they were at 72 and started beeping at me and I had to shut the thing down.

The heat just sucks though and limited on where I can move these things.

The one thing I haven't done with this case yet is to swap out the 120 fans that came with it for other ones that I've heard people have had to do. That might make a difference as well however I'm not sure which ones to go with or if it's really necessary.

On your exhaust fans I would go with these.

Arctic Cooling

Great, thanks man. Found them on newegg for 8.99$ a piece. Small price to pay if they make a difference.
