Re: 920 i7 overclocking

Running 189x21 when turbo kicks in. Using an old first edition 920, not a D0. I'm using 1.36v and a Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 with two fans in push-pull. I could likely go higher with water cooling and I'm satisfied where I am.

New numbers for my triple HD 5870 Crossfire rig below. I already had one 5870 and picked up two more.

Below is my first swipe at Vantage using the Extreme preset.

ORB - Compare

Heaven v2 on my rig looks like below.

Normal tessellation 1920x1200 default filtering

Normal tessellation 4xAA @ 1920x1200

Extreme tessellation with 4xAA|16xAF @ 1920x1200

Re: 920 i7 overclocking

Still waiting on my two stage phase change to be completed, so just simple water cooling for now.

Re: 920 i7 overclocking

Watch those temps Low!

Anyway..that's a really nice OC on water. Will they be your 24/7 clocks once you get the phase change cooling?

These are my 24/7 clocks And it stays under 100% 24/7 running F@H. Once the new phase change arrives I am hoping for 5GHz 24/7 . My old phase change help @ 4.8GHz 24/7 under 100%, this new one should be nearly three times as powerful so I don't think 5GHz should be too hard.

Damn that's some crazy clocks man Nicely done! The temps might seem a little high but they are very good for those clocks imo

Re: 920 i7 overclocking

Nice OC there mate, whith my q6600 i only get 3.8 stable on water (high VID ). I was thinking to buy one of those but if i do i want to hit something as close to 5Ghz as possible. Maybe in the last quarter of this year something will come up
