use NTSC. NTSC is an old standard still in use in the US or Japan (and maybe some other). Quality and picture definition are lower than PAL.

???

I was thinking of flashing the BIOS on my ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, but was not sure what advantages I would gain if any?
I am very happy with my card the way it is, so I figured I would ask the experts before I go and do something that might destroy my card! Any advice yeah or neah will be most welcome. Thanx in advance.

Yeah, if you're happy with how it's working DON'T DO IT!

I can't think of a whole lot of advantages to be gained, but I can count an awful lot of pitfalls & possible headaches.
