Default Post XP 1900+ Users??? How high can you O/C?

Please post your overclocking works here. I just wanna know how high other 1900+ users have got their CPU to go. If possible, post motherboard and stepping code if you got it handy.

I got my 1900+ at 1760MHz (11.5 x 153)

AGOGA stepping on a Abit KX7-333

I just unlocked the CPU today. I am hoping to hit the 1.8GHz soon.

I got my last one to 1736mhz, core volt 1.85 running stable with the most aggressive ram settings. the CPU wasnt unlocked, I just bumped the FSB up.... I think it was around the 157mhz mark. im sure an unlocked one you could get higher. nice CPU btw.

The highest stable OC I can achieve is 1730mhz (2100+ rating). This is run @ default voltage for both ram and cpu, FSB 138, and with the muli set to 12.5/13 ( I had a bad experience with my first unlocking attempt, so the only multi's I can choose are 12 and 12.5/13 ).

If I drop the multi back to default (12) I can up the FSB to ~145, but it is not as stable as my current, plus I have to up the voltage on the CPU.

I think besides my mess-up on the unlocking (which is impossible to fix) the motherboard is holding me back. I have a MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU, with 3 Maxtor ATA133 40G hooked up in raid 0 array.

I've got a 1800+ @ 1.73... bought it when the CPUs first hit the market. It could probably go higher. Waiting on a new one (1800+)... yields have been good so I'm betting with the SLK-800 I have coming, I'll be able to hit over 1.8MHZ. 2.0 would be nice, but don't think it would happen unless i had a TEC.

I have an AGKGA K processor, which on very chilly nights can get up to 1764mhz with 1.87v (1.85 in bios, but 1.87 in reality) and can hold 1722mhz even on the hottest southern california days with the same voltage. The AGKGA stepping was the first palomino processor stepping that i know of, and the K's were relatively rare. Some insane overclockers pushed an AGKGA K up to 2.0ghz with anti-freeze compressor cooled to a slush and fed with hi-pressure though a waterblock at 2.2v, so the processors have potential that my Swiftech MC462A/1.87v can't touch

toshirooc

edit: oops, forgot motherboard. I'm using an Epox 8KHA+ Rev.2.0 with the newest bios as of 7/2/02. (KT266A)

My MP 1900+ and XP 1800+ would both hit 1758 (185x9.5) at 1.85 v. I haven't really pushed the MP 1900+, but the XP 1800+ hit 1776 (187x9.5) at 2.1 v if only for a paranoid few minutes. Interestingly the MP 1900+ seems like it runs a bit warmer (different HSF though).

Hey toddalaska:

10x is 01110 on the bridges so it's one of the center three. If you've got 9.5 then that's 01101 so I'd say it's your second bridge. You always start with 3 and then add per the bridges where the furthest right is 0.5 and, going left, they are 1, 2, 4 & 8. Of course the exception to that formula is that 00000 = 11.

In your case 01110 = 3 + 1 + 2 + 4 = 10
01101 = 3 + .5 + 2 + 4 = 9.5

One of the nicest things I've read about the Tbreds is that they unlock with a single bridge-short (L5). I bought the MP because I was so friggin' tired of repairing bridges that opened.

Nice xp 1800+ btw!

Mize

I took my XP1900+ to 1733MHz (10.5 x 165) Palomino Core @ 1.85 V almost completely stable.

AGNGA Y on a MSI KT3 Ultra ARU with 2x 256 mb DDR PC2700 SEITEC (5-2-2-2T)

may not be much, but with this MB and oem memory sticks, it was more than i expected.

Hmm,

Pally 1900+ AGNGA @ 143FSB (1712) 24/7 on a K7S5A & 2 x 256 Centon PC-133. It'll run 147FSB (1764) w/1 stick for faster benches & such. I've had it boot to Windows w/128mb of KingMax PC-150 @ 150mhz (1800), but it isn't really 'stable'. (735chip )

This is @ 1.744v (bios reading) cuz the ECS doesn't allow vcore adj. & w/a GlacialTech Igloo 2410 Pro HSF & 4 case fans. [Desktop Idle: 31c-32c, Internet use: 35c-37c, Games & benches: 41c-44c @ 143-147fsb.]

Guy I got it from said he got it to ~1839 on a KT333 mobo w/DDR333 & a Promethia.

Have a good one,
