I "was"able to get physx going with Ati and even managed to bench successfully. Here are the benchies:
My first 11k score: ![]() 3.5GHz oc on q9400 quad core.:

Re: Quad Q9400 OC
My score without physX though is P8900 so it's a bit different. Getting new system in a couple months so should get better gpu score and cpu score with Core i7 and XfireX.

Nifty, do you need a patch for that or what Frankie?

Re: Quad Q9400 OC
yes, without the patch and switching monitors between cards I couldn't find a way to install the drivers for the mixed cards practically.

Re: Quad Q9400 OC
I notice the voltage for the 3.6ghz OC is pretty high.. yet the temps all seem so manageable. maybe the xigmatek achilles is a bad performer or I got a dud, but I get 62*C (max) on my cores with a 3.2ghz OC @ 1.2000v.
oh well, ill save it for later. nice addition on the scores there with physx...you can't use vantage to compare ati and nvidia which is a shame.

![]() The cool thing about this is it's comparable to my e7300 at 3.3 paired with a 4850X2! which broke on me. |

Why is it Beeping!?!?!

Re: Quad Q9400 OC
well its a bit hot but as long as the temps don't run much higher than that you wouldn't necessarily introuble.

Re: Quad Q9400 OC
Welcome!
I submitted a news article about Intel dropping chip prices a bit when the dual core i3/i5's launch so I'd wait until then, Matthew. If the report is correct the Q9500 will be down to the price of the Q9400 come the end of January meaning the Q9400 should drop lower. |

I'm fine with 60*C, but why is mine running at that with only 1.2v???? i really should be able to get to 3.4+ (3.4ghz requires like 1.3v...temps get higher....) with the temps being suitable. Maybe its the Australian summer

Re: Quad Q9400 OC
As far as I can remember when I was using my S1283 I had the distinct impression that low temps on high clocks was only able to be on liquid cooling.

Re: Quad Q9400 OC
no, I don't use water, on air, but when I started overclocking in the beginning I used an S1283 and my temps were pretty much as your are now for the clocks your getting.
