Mini Monitor

Is it feasible to find a monitor with a reasonable resolution (ie: over 800x600, maybe 1366x768) that is around 28cm tall and 40cm (or less) in the UK?
I'm referring to the screen only, mind, ignoring the stand.

My 21.5" monitors are 32cm tall without the stand yet I can't find one that is suitable. Am I missing something?

find someones use 17" perhaps and knock the stand off?

Does it have to be under 28cm including the stand? If not, the screen itself on a 17" 16:9 is only 20.8cm tall.

I've yet to find a 17" that is under 28cm tall by under 40cm wide. They tend to be a scratch over 16" wide (around 42cm), which is just too wide.

How about any of these:

TFT monitors

I've never used them myself, but I seem to remember someone else on this site recommending them (possibly Mr Cairo - do check first, I'm not at all certain).

I still don't know whether the monitor is within the boundaries without a stand. I've seen some 17" widescreen monitors that are either too wide or too tall.

Has anyone got (or know of) a monitor that is under 400mm wide by 280 tall without the stand?

Well a 17" 4:3 monitor will be 10.2" tall without the bezel or stand. So I guess your best bet is to take a look at the picture of the monitor and see if the bezels look less than 1.25cm thick at the top and bottom. That'd be a fairly skinny bezel, though.
