Re: Probably the first X79 / Sandy Bridge-E Mod
A minor update from Insomnia 44 at the weekend gone.
Purely coincidental but while wondering around i44 somebody noticed the Tuck Shop selling Kingston caps so we asked to borrow all they had for a photo opportunity with the X79 mod..........it took some explaining to the bemused looking girl but we got there in the end ![]() First ever X79 Sandy Bridge-E X3930K watercooled system - YouTube ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Re: Probably the first X79 / Sandy Bridge-E Mod
You sure do like hats and watercooled CPU cores.
Did you ever find out whether that quad-SLI SR2 mod could game on the 1200W Coolermaster? Nice rigs btw :P

Re: Probably the first X79 / Sandy Bridge-E Mod
Oh. My. Zod. Very nice. Motherboard manufacturers should include sata power next to the data ports and then you just plug your ssd into the board. No more sata cables. Just need to upgrade the 24 pin psu cable to 30 pins to provide the power for the drives

Re: Probably the first X79 / Sandy Bridge-E Mod
Just out of curiousity - what do you do with all of these rigs? Do you just build them, showcase them and keep them or do you sell them on?
