Thanks. On my next day off I plan on pushing it higher. I if I can get 5.3 stable 24/7 I will be happy.

Re: Hmm... anyone here with a nice 2500k?

Watch out, I hear 1.4v for any length of time can be fatal.

Re: Hmm... anyone here with a nice 2500k?

In cpu-z i can get 1.37v @ 5.0g, but Asus ROG AI suit II monitor tells me that the Vcore actually goes to 1.42 when does prime 95, higher than what you set in the bios, so becareful~ 1.36V is not the exactly Vcore in testing

Re: Hmm... anyone here with a nice 2500k?

I had to set 1.45 in bios with Load Line Calibration to Level 10 to get it make it through Prime95. Pulls as much as 1.474V at load so far it's stable and temps are good, cores range from 72-82 at 100% load though it peaked at 84. I keep the Intel idle thingie on so it's running at 1600mhz and under 30C.

Re: Hmm... anyone here with a nice 2500k?

When I was playing BF3 all cores were maxed out but it was around 72C for each so not bad.

Re: Hmm... anyone here with a nice 2500k?

All cores maxed out? oO

I've read that BF3 CPU load does scale dramatically with graphical preset, but I didn't think to that extent.

Nonetheless, 72C seems pretty reasonable for a 5GHZ OC :P
