so i should send back my dying Ti4200 to visiontek and get an upgrade? or sumthing?

cause the performance was great before ,cause in Halo i could play @ 1280x1024 fine and smooth

now i gotta play @ 800x600 to get the same speeds

so should i take it back for that reason?

would they take it?

cause i paid 210$ for that specific card ,but visiontek dont make nvidia's anymore.....

you would have a hard time getting them to take it back....

though, I would look at other areas of your system before blaming the video card...

look at what you might have recently done to your comp... memory timing, clock ratio, maybe you have your timing set real slow....

Poke your head around and see if you can pin point something.

my computer has been the same ever since i got my card overclocked @ that speed its just when i got the 53.03 betas installed it started to act up CRAP!!!!! i hate this machine!!!!

Its interesting to see that your system is close to mine....

What kind of 3dmark scores do you get?

I get standerd non overclocked scores of 8900 in 3dmark2001se

I used to be able to push that to 9900 (I tried my damndest to get it to 10000) But I now can only get 92oo out of it... Very odd since I use the same clock speeds and everything...

Its the way life goes I suppose... But Im still very happy with my speed in the games I play, so I see no need to RMA the firggin thing.....

i did and i just formatted yesterday and im using omegas 45.23

my speeds r @ 310/560

and That score on 2001se of 12000 sounds about right for the proc you got....

Im runnin a 1600+ and get 8900.... (though I think its a little low...)

It still plays games...

yes,

but for dis-honest users who are carefull and crafty no

if you tell them you o/c warrenty instanly void
if they can prove you o/c warrenty instanly void
if you volt mod/solder etc warrenty instanly void
if you remove any shims warrenty instanly void
if you damage of modify the card in any waywarrenty instanly void

even removeing/replace the stock cooler warrenty under tems could be void -alot of people do this but then put the stock cooler back on when RMAing it...
